The Treasury Department is responsible for all financial affairs of the West Zimbabwe Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. They provide payroll services for denominational employees, invest conference funds according to policy, disburse funds according to laid down principles, prepare financial statements, prepare the annual budget and monitor adherence to the budget, care of the office physical plant, and train local church and treasurers.


The Chief Financial Officer chairs and serves on various boards and committees. The Chief Financial Officer is also the office manager.


The annual budget and conference policies, which are approved by the West Zimbabwe Conference Executive Committee, are adhered to in the work of the Treasury Department. General financial policies and guidelines are put in place by the Zimbabwe West Union Conference the Southern Africa Indian Ocean Division and the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. The treasury staff follows these policies and guidelines in managing the finances for the West Zimbabwe Conference.


The West Zimbabwe Conference auditors give limited assurance regarding the financial statements and/or reports presented to the church/school boards. Local church and school records are audited at least once every two years.
