The Secretariat, led by the Executive Secretary, is one of three key administrative offices of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, alongside Presidential and Treasury. The secretariat provides oversight and service in key areas: church policies, missions, human relations, administrative operations, special projects/initiatives, and resources.
How we serve
The Secretariat supports the WZC by managing critical administrative functions, ensuring effective governance, and maintaining accurate records to advance the Church’s mission. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing record-keeping, including reporting church activities and membership statistics to church administration.
- Maintaining records for the Executive Committee (the board of Trustees).
- Supporting compliance with denominational policies at local, national, and global levels.
- Managing human resources, membership records (Church Clerk
- Ensuring that accurate records enable effective evaluation, planning, and the smooth operation of the church organisation.
- Organising the triennial West Zimbabwe Conference Sessions, where department directors and other leaders are elected.
